Directions to Qualcomm Stadium (from L.A. or Orange County)
Take the i-5 southward past camp Pendleton and past Oceanside and stay in the left lanes and you'll end up getting dumped onto the 805 south, then continue south 10 miles then transition to the 8 east (toward El Centro), stay in the right lane for about one mile and watch very carefully for the tight right ¾ circle transition to the 15 North, as if to go to Riverside. Then go a little less than a mile north and get off at Friars Road West (it says Stadium). This ¾ circle offramp dumps you onto Friars, go through one signal and then take the first offramp to the right (instead of continuing under the overpass). At that light take a left and go over that overpass and down into the stadium lot. As a point of reference, it's 127 miles south of LAX
---------------------------------------
Directions to Norton Air Force Base (aka: San Bernardino Airport)
It's basically located a few miles northeast of the I-10 and 215 interchange, somewhat north of the Riverside area out there.
From the eastbound I-10, take the Tippecanoe/Anderson offramp, which is the 2nd offramp just East of the 215.
From the Northbound 15 or 215, transition to the 10 East then get off at the 2nd offramp that's just East of the 215.
Go north (left) on Tippecanoe about 2½ miles to Third street, then make a right and go east on Third another couple of miles till you go past the Arco station on the left, then just past a big white water tower on the right and the entrance gate is just east of that tower. Once inside the gate, bear to the right and drive mostly along Y street to the course area ahead and to the left about a ¼ mile. Drive slowly, there's lots of security and they look serious.
The only place to get air or gas or food near the site is the Arco station on Third st, but there are some fast food places and gas stations within a mile or so radius of the I-10 / Tippecanoe offramp area.it's 82 miles from LAX
